Red Eye: According to The Hollywood Reporter, horrormeister Wes Craven has boarded the flight to direct the thriller Red Eye for DreamWorks.

The film centers on a woman held captive by a stranger on an airliner who threatens to kill her father unless she helps him arrange the assassination of a wealthy businessman.

Carl Ellsworth wrote the screenplay.

Craven is best known for such frightfests as the Scream trilogy and A Nightmare on Elm Street, which he also wrote.

Craven recently finished shooting Cursed.
