Given the odd habits of most vampires, such as their nocturnal lifestyle and thirst for blood, it would only seem natural that three of them would be able to live together in the same house, as seen in the upcoming comedy What We Do in the Shadows. Following its critically-acclaimed run at film festivals such as Sundance, Berlin, SXSW and the recent Stanley Film Festival, the first trailer has been released for this mockumentary, where a film crew is invited into the abode shared by bloodsuckers Vladislav (Jemaine Clement), Vlago (Taika Waititi) and Deacon (Jonathan Brugh), as they bicker about household chores and plead with a bouncer to let them into a bar, since they have to literally be invited in. Take a look at the first footage from this upcoming comedy, which does not have a domestic release date set at this time.
Follow the lives of Viago (Taika Waititi), Deacon (Jonathan Brugh), and Vladislav (Jemaine Clement) - three flatmates who are just trying to get by and overcome life's obstacles-like being immortal vampires who must feast on human blood. Hundreds of years old, the vampires are finding that beyond sunlight catastrophes, hitting the main artery, and not being able to get a sense of their wardrobe without a reflection-modern society has them struggling with the mundane like paying rent, keeping up with the chore wheel, trying to get into nightclubs, and overcoming flatmate conflicts.
