The Mandalorian is one of the most popular TV shows on Disney+. It is set in the Star Wars universe and follows the adventures of a bounty hunter who takes on a new assignment to capture a valuable asset. This asset turns out to be Grogu, known as "Baby Yoda" to many fans. The show has been praised for its strong storytelling, compelling characters, and stunning visuals. It has also become a cultural phenomenon, with Baby Yoda becoming a pop culture icon. The show's executive producer, Dave Filoni, recently gave his thoughts on the highly anticipated third season and the future of Baby Yoda.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Filoni was asked about Grogu and when he might begin speaking, given that he has only made small noises and grunts thus far. In response, Filoni stated that he would assume Grogu would start speaking relatively young but also suggested that he may already communicate in his own way. He noted that Ahsoka could understand him or divine some type of communication from him. However, when asked about Grogu's first spoken words, Filoni remained tight-lipped, saying only, "we'll see."

"That's a good question," Filoni said. "I would suppose fairly young. I mean, we don't know that he's not talking in his own way. Obviously he could communicate with Ahsoka, or she could at least divine from him some type of communication."

The reporter also inquired whether Grogu would communicate using the same backward speech pattern as Yoda, as both characters belong to the same species. However, Filoni did not give a definitive answer to this question. He instead found it intriguing that some people think Yoda's speech is a characteristic of his species. Filoni speculated that those around him might affect Grogu's way of talking, like Din Djarin and Luke Skywalker, whose influence could shape his speech patterns.
