One of the biggest movie stars in the world is heading to the small screen. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Will Smith has signed on to produce the TV film, Unfinished Business, a two-hour TV movie that will serve as a potential backdoor pilot for a TV series.

The drama will center on an ex-cop who starts to see visions of the memories of recently-deceased people and he takes on the charge of helping these lost souls finish their unfinished business. Smith will executive produce the TV film alongside his Overbrook Entertainment partners John Lassiter and Ken Stovitz. Sally Robinson is set to write the pilot with Mikael Salomon to direct.

"Sci Fi is excited to begin development on Unfinished Business with Overbrook Entertainment and Will Smith," said Mark Stern, executive vp original programming at Sci Fi. "It is a compelling and thrilling drama that is perfect for our audience."

No production schedule was released for the TV film.
