The search has begun for the two lead roles in Michael Bay's next installment of his sci-fi franchise Transformers 4.

The film will possibly be featuring a female lead, who is described as a high school senior. They are also searching for someone to play her race-car driving boyfriend. Plot details are few and far between, but we do know that the story line is set in outer space and will feature a brand new cast of humans and robots.

Michael Bay will be directing from a script by Ehren Kruger. He also has crime drama Pain and Gain set to hit theaters April 2013 starring Dwayne Johnson and Mark Wahlberg as bodybuilders.

No production schedule has been released for the project.
