Production has been under way for the past few months on Wolverine 3, which has easily been the most secretive in the entire trilogy. 20th Century Fox has yet to even confirm the full cast list and even the official title. We have already seen a few set photos featuring Hugh Jackman in action, and there have long been rumors that this movie, which will be Hugh Jackman's last as Wolverine, will be adapted from the Old Man Logan comic book. Today we have another photo of Hugh Jackman which may hint at the Old Man Logan story line after all.

The actor posted this latest image on Instagram, which doesn't seem to be from the set, featuring the actor giving a thumbs up next to three rather large fish. Still, he looks quite skinnier in this photo, which have some questioning whether this new look is for the movie, or if the actor's actual health is deteriorating. It's worth noting that, in the Old Man Logan comics, Logan loses his mutant abilities and starts to age for the first time. It's possible that this new look could be implemented to represent Logan after his powers are lost, but that's only speculation.

Earlier photos from the New Orleans set featured Hugh Jackman with an unidentified young girl, who has been rumored to be X-23. In the comics, X-23 is a clone of Logan, and her presence would make sense, given the post credit scene in X-Men: Apocalypse, where a mysterious character is seen taking a vial of Logan's blood from the Weapon X facility. It has already been confirmed that Wolverine 3 will be R-rated, but the studio has yet to confirm an official title.

Weapon X has actually been rumored to be this movie's official title, but we haven't gotten any confirmation quite yet. A report surfaced that claimed 20th Century Fox had registered two variations of the title, Wolverine: Weapon X and just Weapon X. While the studio has not confirmed what the title will be hopefully we'll find out more as production continues. The latest rumors claimed that the movie isn't based on Old Man Logan at all, but that it does take place in the future, and is a comic book Western.

Regardless of whether or not the title ends up being Weapon X, the supporting cast includes Patrick Stewart returing for a possible final turn as Professor X, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant, Richard E. Grant and Eriq La Salle. James Mangold, who directed 2013's blockbuster The Wolverine, is directing from a script by Michael Green and David James Kelly, with 20th Century Fox setting a March 3, 2017 release date. We'll be sure to keep you posted with more updates on Wolverine 3 as soon as we have them, but until then, take a look at this new photo of Hugh Jackman below.
