Yesterday, Hugh Jackman revealed in a new interview that fans are asking for Victor Creed, a.k.a. Sabretooth to return in the highly-anticipated Wolverine 3. The character was last played by Liev Schreiber in 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and it seems the actor may actually be returning to play Sabretooth once again, if we're to believe a cryptic tweet sent out earlier today. Hugh Jackman posted a photo from one of his workout sessions, with Liev Schreiber responding with the following message shortly thereafter.

"do I have to do that..."

This isn't by any means a confirmation that Liev Schreiber will appear in Wolverine 3, and the actor could just be joking around with his former co-star. Hugh Jackman sent out Wolverine 3 artwork on his Twitter page recently, asking fans what they want to see in the superhero movie sequel. While fans clearly want to see Sabretooth return, we have no clue if the actor and filmmaker James Mangold actually have plans to implement these ideas into the script by Michael Green (Green Lantern).

Production is scheduled to begin early next year on Wolverine 3, with 20th Century Fox already setting a March 3, 2017 release date. Hugh Jackman has confirmed several times that this will be his last time playing Logan. It was recently confirmed that Patrick Stewart will be back as Professor X, but no other cast members have been confirmed.

It was recently rumored that the story would be adapted from the Old Man Logan comics, but that report was debunked. That particular comic book story, written by Mark Millar, followed Logan as he retired from being a superhero, wandering around the country as he runs into a number of different Marvel superheroes. It would certainly be a tricky adaptation to pull off, since Marvel Studios owns the rights to several characters prominently featured in this story, such as Hawkeye and Hulk.

Do you think Liev Schreiber may actually be coming back to play Sabretooth in Wolverine 3? Or was he just simply joking with a friend, providing more grist for the rumor mill? Check out both actors' tweets below, and let us know what you think.
