20th Century Fox has pushed back the production of The Wolverine. Although the studio hasn't released an official production date, it is pushing to start in spring 2012.

The filming location is in Japan, while ideas for Canada have been talked about due to the erratic weather conditions in Japan. The studio has been trying to get the film off the ground for some time and with Darren Aronofsky bowing out, James Mangold will be directing the project which will begin filming as soon as Hugh Jackman finishes Les Miserables.

The film was scripted by Christopher McQuarrie.

Production for the film will begin spring of 2012.
