Grab your Lasso of Truth and get ready for some action, because a brand new Wonder Woman trailer has arrived! Warner Bros. has just unleashed the second full-length trailer for one of the most highly anticipated movies in their entire upcoming slate of DC Comics-based movies. We now have even more of an idea of what the first female-led superhero movie of the modern era looks like and it involves a lot of Amazonian warrior awesomeness.

We learned that this new Wonder Woman trailer would be dropping soon, because Trailer Track confirmed earlier in the week that the trailer was attached to the North American release of Doctor Strange. So, the trailer has made its way online as well to the benefit of DC fans all over the world courtesy of Warner Bros. This is the first new trailer we have seen since the first footage debuted at San Diego Comic-Con over the summer, which was met with nearly universal praise and was one of the most talked about things coming out of the event. Here is the official synopsis for the movie.

"Wonder Woman hits movie theaters around the world next summer when Gal Gadot returns as the title character in the epic action adventure from director Patty Jenkins. Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers...and her true destiny."

Ever since the superhero craze started back in the early 2000's, fans have been calling for a female-led superhero movie to get made. Save for Elektra (which most of us would like to try and forget about), that hasn't really happened yet. Many were upset when Marvel Studios announced their Phase 3 lineup, which failed to include a Scarlett Johansson/Black Widow Solo movie, which everyone assumed was going to happen. That left room for Warner Bros. to swoop in and get Wonder Woman done, allowing them to beat Marvel to the punch. Gal Gadot's performance as the character was one of the most praised qualities of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, so when you couple that with the great footage we have seen so far, there is a lot of reason to be encouraged.

Warner Bros. has surrounded Gal Gadot with an impressive supporting cast. She is being joined by Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Robin Wright as General Antiope and Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta. Other members of the cast include David Thewlis, Elena Anaya, Danny Huston, Ewen Bremner and Lucy Davis. We can't totally rule out the possibility of some cameos, being that this is part of the DC Extended Universe, but it does take place during World War I, so that makes things tricky.

The movie is being directed by Patty Jenkins, who also directed the critically acclaimed Monster. Maybe the DCEU finally has a movie on their hands that both fans and critics love, which they could really use. Wonder Woman is set for release on June 23, 2017. Be sure to check out the brand new trailer for yourself below along with three exciting new posters.
