During Saturday night's new episode of Saturday Night Live, it was announced that the show will return from a short hiatus on Feb. 25. It was also revealed that Woody Harrelson will be serving as guest host with Jack White joining him as the musical guest. Oddly enough, this will mark the fifth time each has been featured on the show in this capacity, though the fourth time for White as a solo artist, as he first appeared on the show with The White Stripes in 2002.

Not very many actors make it into the elusive Five-Timers Club, consisting of those who have guest hosted SNL on five or more occasions. Harrelson has previously hosted the show in 1989, 1992, 2014, and 2019. In addition to hosting in 2019, Harrelson made other special appearances playing Joe Biden, one of a handful of actors to do so.

Alec Baldwin was the first actor to join the club and has done so three times over with 17 total appearances; Steve Martin is one behind him at 16. Some of the other frequent guest hosts to be part of the club include John Goodman, Tom Hanks, Chevy Chase, Candice Bergen, Danny DeVito, Bill Murray, Drew Barrymore, Ben Affleck, Tina Fey, Scarlett Johansson, Will Ferrell, Elliott Gould, Melissa McCarthy, Paul Rudd, and The Rock. Last year, comedian John Mulaney joined the club in a sketch that brought back many of the other members to help induct him.

Harrelson continues to appear frequently on the big and small screens. After playing the villain in the comic book movie sequel Venom: Let There Be Carnage, he had notable roles in last year's films Triangle of Sadness and The Man from Toronto. He can soon be seen as the star of the sports comedy Champions from director Bobby Farrelly, coming to theaters in March. Harrelson is also playing a lead role in HBO's upcoming series White House Plumbers alongside names like Justin Theroux, Domhnall Gleeson, Lena Headey, and Kiernan Shipka. That show also is set to arrive next month. Meanwhile, the actor has also been cast to appear in the upcoming Apple TV+ movie Project Artemis, which also stars fellow SNL Five-Timers Club member Scarlett Johansson.

Watch Harrelson on SNL when his episode arrives on Feb. 25, 2023. Past episodes of the sketch comedy series can be streamed on Peacock.
