Millennium Entertainment announced today that they have acquired all domestic rights for the coming-of-age thriller The World Made Straight, and will release the film theatrically in the U.S. in February 2015.

Jeremy Irvine, Minka Kelly, Noah Wyle, Adelaide Clemens and Haley Joel Osment star in the film. Directed by David Burris, the film is based on the novel by New York Times best-selling author Ron Rash, and scripted by Shane Danielsen. Myriad Pictures is handling world sales on the film.

Based on the acclaimed novel by the same name, The World Made Straight is set in a rural community heavy with a dark past and dangerous present. The film follows a rebellious young man, Travis, (Jeremy Irvine) as he struggles to decide between the dark path he is on and the chance at a new life.

The film's soundtrack includes tracks by Academy Award-winning artist Glen Hansard; Ellie Goulding, who won for Best Song, Best Video and Best Entertainer at the 2014 World Music Awards; and Grammy-nominated Steve Earle, who also plays the key role of Carlton in the feature. The book will be re-released by Picador in conjunction with the film's theatrical run.

The World Made Straight was produced by Todd J. Labarowski of Dreambridge Films, Daniel Wagner of Bifrost Pictures and Michael Wrenn. Brad Coolidge and Melissa Coolidge served as Executive Producers for Dreambridge Films, alongside Robert Ogden Barnum, Katie Mustard, and Kirk D'Amico from Myriad Pictures. Dreambridge Films, Bifrost Pictures and Three Point Capital financed the film.
