Just three months after Millennium Entertainment acquired the dramatic thriller The World Made Straight, the studio has released the first trailer.

In a rural Appalachian community haunted by the legacy of a Civil War massacre, young and rebellious Travis Shelton (Jeremy Irvine) finds himself ensnared in the violence of the past and the subtle evils of the present. Based on the novel by Ron Rash, The World Made Straight also stars Noah Wyle, Minka Kelly and Haley Joel Osment.

In addition, we also have a new poster for director David Burris' adaptation, which debuts on iTunes and in theaters on January 9, 2015. Check out the latest footage and the one-sheet below.
