Bruce Willis retired from acting due to his aphasia diagnosis, but he had been working frequently up to that point. This meant that there have still been several movies to be released after the news was announced that he wouldn't be taking on any more roles. This year alone, he has already appeared in a slew of films including Gasoline Alley, Fortress: Sniper's Eye, Vendetta, and White Elephant. There are a small handful left to come after Wrong Place, as his final film will be in Chuck Russell's upcoming action film Paradise City, which will reunite him with Pulp Fiction co-star John Travolta.

"It was an honor in general, just being in one of his last films and having him on [and sharing] the set with him," Willis' White Elephant co-star Vadhir Derbez told MovieWeb. "He did so well. He did amazing. He's such a legend. I think everything he does — and [has] done — [is] so good, so just seeing him act, honestly, it was great. I'm just happy that people are going to be able to enjoy another film with him."

Campbell has since been enjoying retirement. The news of his aphasia diagnosis was first revealed by his family in March. Daughter Rumer Willis said that his condition meant that her father could no longer work and needed to step back from Hollywood to focus on himself.

"To Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities. As a result of this and with much consideration Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him," Rumer's statement read.

The statement added, "This is a really challenging time for our family and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion and support. We are moving through this as a strong family unit, and wanted to bring his fans in because we know how much he means to you, as you do to him. As Bruce always says, 'Live it up' and together we plan to do just that."
