Mulder and Scully are back! Fox has released an official Untitled X-Files Revival set photo, giving us a first look at David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson back in action as FBI Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. The 6-episode revival series began shooting this week in Vancouver. Also in the photo tweeted out by the network, we see Chris Carter watching from his director's chair. This arrives after the cast and crew shared their first X-Files set photos earlier in the week.

Thirteen years after the original series run, Fox is ready to deliver the next mind-bending chapter of The X-Files with a thrilling event series helmed by creator/executive producer Chris Carter. This marks the momentous return of the Emmy- and Golden Globe Award-winning pop culture phenomenon, which remains one of the longest-running sci-fi series in network television history. Further details remain under wraps and will be announced at a later date. About the series return, Chris Carter stated:

"I think of it as a 13-year commercial break. The good news is the world has only gotten that much stranger, a perfect time to tell these six stories."

The Untitled X-Files Revival will continue to follow FBI special agents Scully (Gillian Anderson) and Mulder (David Duchovny) as they investigate unexplained cases for which the only answers involve paranormal phenomena.  The first episode in over 14 years will premiere on Fox immediately following the NFC Championship Game. Take a look as David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson as the legendary Mulder and Scully.
