According to a new report, the X-Force movie will begin filming sometime in October of this year. X-Force director, Drew Goddard, is currently filming Bad Times at the El Royale and that movie is set to hit theaters on October 8th, which means he'll be on the promotional campaign ahead of the release and then afterwards as well. If this report ends up being true, Goddard is going to have a pretty busy month of October. Deadpool 2 is wrapping reshoots in Vancouver ahead of its May 18th release date.

News of the X-Force movie was announced late last year, and it will see the return of Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Josh Brolin as Cable. And as the new report suggests, filming will begin this October. Deadpool 2 will introduce Cable and Zazie Beetz's Domino character, so it seems likely that Domino will be featured in X-Force as well. Colossus is also a likely candidate to return as well. The official synopsis reads.

"The X-Men spinoff film that revolves around Deadpool and Cable leading a Black Ops force of down and dirty mutant warriors who are far more ruthless than their X-Men counterparts."

Eagle-eyed viewers of the Deadpool 2 trailer were able to spot some other characters in a scene from the latest trailer. Alongside and behind Domino and Deadpool are Shatterstar, who may or may not be portrayed by Iron Fist's Lewis Tan, and Terry Crews who might be playing G.W. Bridge. There's also a strong rumor that IT's Bill Skarsgard is shown in the short scene as well. The speculation behind the brief clip is that Deadpool 2 might go on to introduce X-Force, which certainly seems to be the case and fans are excited.

Deadpool 2 will be revealing two new characters into the fold. One of which is Zazie Beetz's Domino, who is expected to return for X-Force and the other is Cable. When talking about his Cable character, Josh Brolin revealed that we are going to learn a lot about him in Deadpool 2. Brolin also mentioned that we would know a lot more about Cable ahead of the release of X-Force in a way to have a full picture of who and how Cable works. He had this to say.

"I think we're not trying to hide the fact that this is the beginning of Cable and absolutely not the end. I think when you're sensitive about how you appreciate it. When you're sensitive about how you reveal this character there's a sense of mystery in it, so then when we finally get into X-Force that you're going to be with this guy full blown all the time. There's a lot to be revealed."

Josh Brolin also recently spoke about Ryan Reynolds and director Drew Goddard getting together to speak about the X-Force movie, mentioning that Goddard was working on his own movie (Bad Times at the El Royale). Additionally, Brolin mentioned that work on X-Force would begin when Goddard's movie came out, which seems to fit into the timeline of the new report.
