With production on X-Men: Apocalypse slated to begin this coming April in Montreal, director Bryan Singer has been sharing a number of behind-the-scenes photos, including a look at the 1983 Cerebro set being built. Today, the filmmaker has shared yet another image through his Instagram account, which teases a new design for the Cerebro helmet, which will be worn by James McAvoy's Charles Xavier.

One thing we can't tell from the photo is whether or not Xavier will be bald in X-Men: Apocalypse, which rounds out the trilogy that started with 2011's X-Men: First Class and continued with last year's X-Men: Days of Future Past. Of course, Patrick Stewart's version of Professor X in the original X-Men trilogy and X-Men: Days of Future Past was completely bald, so it would make sense to have this younger version of the character eventually take on this look.

X-Men: Days of Future Past stars James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Ian McKellen (old Magneto) and Nicholas Hoult (Beast) are expected to return, along with new cast members Oscar Isaac (Apocalypse), Alexandra Shipp (Storm), Sophie Turner (Jean Grey), Kodi Smit-McPhee (Nightcrawler) and Tye Sheridan (Cyclops). Take a look at the photo below, and stay tuned for more as Bryan Singer gets ready to start production on X-Men: Apocalypse in just a few short months.
