While 20th Century Fox's X-Men: Apocalypse was in production, fans got regular glimpses from the set thanks to actress Olivia Munn, who posted photos and videos of her fight training to play Psylocke. Now, with less than one month left until X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters, the actress is reminiscing with a "Throwback Thursday" photo from her Instagram page, which shows just how physical her training got. As you can see in the photo, the life of an actress isn't always very glamorous.

Those who follow Olivia Munn's Twitter and Instagram were often treated to videos that showed her sword training progress while production was under way. The actress even mentioned this very photo during a Twitter Q&A in February, where she told fans how bruised she was after a training session. Here's what she had to say about the photo during the Twitter Q&A.

"I did get hurt training. Most of it was self-inflicted. I have a picture of my leg on my right side just completely bruised literally from my ankle all the way up my thigh, and that was just when I was at home trying to learn sword by myself, and this is before I asked for maybe a not-so-sharp blade to practice with."

Psylocke will be one of Apocalypse's (Oscar Isaac) Four Horsemen, which also include Archangel (Ben Hardy), Storm (Alexandra Shipp) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender). They are recruited by this powerful villain, who has laid dormant for centuries, to cleanse mankind and start humanity over from scratch, with Apocalypse to rule over the new Earth. Apocalypse has amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible, but he still must get through the X-Men to take over the Earth.

As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest enemy and save mankind from complete destruction. Reprising their roles from X-Men: First Class and X-Men: Days of Future Past are Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Rose Byrne (Moira McTaggert), Evan Peters (Quicksilver). New cast members include Oscar Isaac as the villainous Apocalypse, Olivia Munn as Psylocke, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops and Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler.
