Ever since X-Men: Apocalypse started shooting in Montreal, director Bryan Singer has shared numerous photos, featuring either his cast members or some of the sets. Today, the filmmaker shared the latest photo on Instagram, which teases the arrival of Oscar Isaac as the villainous Apocalypse. Unfortunately, we don't get to see the actor himself, but the director did show his chair, exclaiming, "Today! #Xmen #apocalypse awakens."

Hopefully it's only a matter of time before we see Oscar Isaac on set, but it is still unclear on how he will be portrayed in X-Men: Apocalypse. It's possible that we may get our first glimpse of Apocalypse at Comic-Con during 20th Century Fox's Hall H presentation on Saturday, July 11 at 5:45 PM. It's also possible that, since the actor seems to be starting his portion of the production today, that Bryan Singer could reveal more photos between now and the convention.

Fans got their first glimpse at Apocalypse during an end credits scene in X-Men: Days of Future Past, which featured a much younger version of the villainous X-Men mutant, literally constructing the Egyptian Pyramids with his telekinetic abilities. In the Marvel Comics, Apocalypse, a.k.a. En Sabah Nur, is considered to be the first ever mutant, born over 5,000 years ago. We know that Apocalypse's Four Horsemen will also be present in this story, but there is still very little we know about the plot. While we wait for more details to unfold, check out the latest photo from the set.
