As production continues on the Montreal set of X-Men: Apocalypse, director Bryan Singer has shared a new photo on his Instagram page. Unfortunately, the image doesn't feature any recognizable cast members, but the director did tease that this scene involves Quicksilver, played by Evan Peters. Quicksilver had one of the most memorable scenes in X-Men: Days of Future Past, using his super-speed to help his fellow mutants break Magneto (Michael Fassbender) out of a government prison.
This set image shows a number of unidentified actors hanging from rigs on the set, suspended in mid-air. While we know Quicksilver can defy gravity with his speed, it isn't known how these characters end up floating in the air, presumably while Quicksilver is running at full speed. We'll have to wait and see if it is as memorable as X-Men: Days of Future Past's Quicksilver scene. Production has been under way in Montreal for the past few months, with the director sharing a number of set photos along the way, but this may be the most intriguing of all.
Oscar Isaac stars as the main villain Apocalypse, who will also have the Four Horsemen at his side. James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Nicholas Hoult (Beast) and Lucas Till (Havok) also star alongside franchise newcomers Lana Condor (Jubilee), Sophie Turner (Jean Gray), Tye Sheridan (Cyclops), Alexandra Shipp (Storm) and Kodi Smit-McPhee (Nightcrawler). Check out the latest photo from the set, and let us know what your theories are about what may be happening in this shot.
