With production continuing on X-Men: Apocalypse in Montreal, director Bryan Singer shared two photos from the set through his Instagram page. The first photo gives us a new look at Ben Hardy as Archangel, in what the director describes as some sort of a "fight club" in Berlin. While the second photo shows three superhero outfits in mysterious display cases, which the director says, "reminds me of Area 51." It isn't known which superhero outfits are locked away in these cases quite yet, but it's a nice tease.

The Ben Hardy Angel photo is reminiscent of concept art that debuted back in late March, which showed a large arena where combatants square off inside a massive cage. It is believed that this is where the villainous Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac) finds Archangel and recruits him to be one of the Four Horsemen. The other Horsemen include Olivia Munn's Psylocke, Alexandra Shipp's Storm and Michael Fassbender's Magneto}, who has been living a life of exile in Poland for the past 10 years, following the events of X-Men: Days of Future Past.

X-Men: Apocalypse follows Professor Xavier (James McAvoy) and Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) as they form a new team of mutants to stop Apocalypse's destructive plan. These mutants include Lana Condor (Jubilee), Sophie Turner (Jean Grey), Tye Sheridan (Cyclops) and Kodi Smit-McPhee (Nightcrawler). Reprising their roles from X-Men: First Class and X-Men: Days of Future Past are Rose Byrne as Moira McTaggert, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Lucas Till as Havok and Evan Peters as Quicksilver.

Bryan Singer directs from a script by Simon Kinberg, based on a treatment he worked on with Dan Harris and Michael Dougherty. Production has been under way in Montreal since April, but it isn't known how much filming is left on the superhero movie. 20th Century Fox has already set a May 27, 2016 release date, putting it up against Disney's sequel Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass.
