It's an exciting day for X-Men fans! X-Men: Apocalypse has officially begun shooting in Montreal, Canada, and this morning we got our /x-men-apocalypse-kodi-smit-mcphee-nightcrawler-photo/first look at actor Kodi Smit-McPhee as teenage Nightcrawler. We also got our first couple of set images, which depict a movie theater in 1983 with a marque showing Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi. Now, thanks to Twitter, we get a look at what is actually being shot today, and it brings our first look at a number of the new actors in their 80s costumes.

These two set photos give us a better look at Nightcrawler, who seems to be a fan of Michael Jackson in his 80s era Thriller jacket. We also get to see Tye Sheridan in his 80s-inspired wardrobe and Cyclops glasses standing next to Sophie Turner as the new Jean Grey. Rounding out this new class of mutants is Lana Condor sporting her traditional yellow jumpsuit as Jubilee.

The images are fairly comic book accurate. But it should be noted, these appear to be their civilian clothes, not the costumes they will wear when going up against the title villain in X-Men: Apocalypse. Check out this exciting first look as the movie starts to come together under the direction of Bryan Singer. And let us know what you think of these new additions to the cast:
