Last month, fans finally got their first official look at footage from X-Men: Apocalypse when the first trailer debuted. It isn't known when the second trailer will arrive, but since we still have a few more months until the May 27 release, it's possible the new footage could surface any day now. While we wait for more details about the next batch of footage, Universo X-Men has uncovered a new photo of actress Alexandra Shipp, who plays a young Storm.

X-Men: Apocalypse, which wrapped production in August, is set in 1983, 10 years after the events of X-Men: Days of Future Past. The story centers on the villainous Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac), who is awakened after thousands of years of slumber, as he assembles his Four Horsemen, Psylocke (Olivia Munn), Storm (Alexandra Shipp), Angel (Ben Hardy) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender). Magneto has been living in exile after X-Men: Days of Future Past, and director Bryan Singer revealed last month that he will be more powerful than ever in X-Men: Apocalypse, which is teased in the new concept art.

After Professor X (James McAvoy) and Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) learn about Apocalypse's plans, they put together a team of mutants to stop him from going forward. X-Men: Apocalypse includes a slew of new cast members playing younger versions of previously-established characters. Along with Alexandra Shipp's Storm and Ben Hardy's Angel, the superhero adventure stars Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler and Lana Condor as Jubilee.

Bryan Singer has teased in the past that X-Men: Apocalypse will be the end of the trilogy that includes X-Men: First Class and last year's X-Men: Days of Future Past. 20th Century Fox is extending this beloved X-Men franchise with three more movies that have connections to this universe, Deadpool, Gambit and Wolverine 3, but 20th Century Fox hasn't confirmed any further plans. A report surfaced last month that claimed Bryan Singer is prepping a mystery X-Men movie that 20th Century Fox will release in 2018, but that hasn't been confirmed.

The cast also includes X-Men: First Class star Rose Byrne, reprising her role as Moira McTaggert, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Evan Peters as Quicksilver, Lucas Till as Havok, Josh Helman as William Stryker and Tómas Lemarquis as Caliban. Bryan Singer is directing from a script by Simon Kinberg, based on a story the writer and director crafted alongside Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris. Take a look at the concept art below, and stay tuned for more on X-Men: Apocalypse, arriving in theaters May 27, 2016.
