Just days after Marvel and Empire debuted 25 covers featuring the many mutants of X-Men: Days of Future Past, the magazine has now released four new photos from this Marvel mutant adventure. The story takes place both in present day and in the 1970s, as Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) is sent back in time to stop a cataclysmic event that could destroy all of mutant kind, good and evil alike. These photos represent both time periods, with Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) sporting his bone claws, before the indestructible adamantium was infused into his skeletal system, and Jennifer Lawrence's Mystique taking aim at what appears to be a government event. We also see present-day Magneto (Ian McKellen) using his powers to levitate, while younger mutants Sunspot (Adan Canto), Kitty Pryde (Ellen Page), Iceman (Shawn Ashmore) and Colossus (Daniel Cudmore) stand together to ward off an evil threat. Director Bryan Singer's superhero saga hits theaters May 23.
