When the X-Men eventually show up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Halle Berry is down to return as Storm. Previously, Berry played the role of the weather-changing superhero in the X-Men movie series which was launched in 2000, going on to reprise the part in several sequels. It came to an end with 2014's X-Men: Days of Future Past, and the plan seems to be for Marvel Studios to reboot the X-Men when the team finally comes into the MCU.

If that's the case, then the new X-Men team members will likely be comprised of new cast members, but it's just as possible we could see some familiar faces. Daredevil star Charlie Cox has recently teased how characters from that Netflix show could start showing up in the MCU, but as "reimagined" versions of the same characters in this variant timeline. That same concept could theoretically be applied to certain members of the X-Men, as even Kelsey Grammer has recently said he's happy to return as Beast.

So, what about Storm? As it turns out, Halle Berry is just as keen on revisiting that character is there's any room for a Storm return in the MCU. Recently, the actress had a chat with Vanity Fair about her biggest roles, and of course, Storm in X-Men came up. Here's what she had to say about potentially revisiting that part if she had the opportunity.

“I would absolutely return to it, it’s a beloved character, I loved playing Storm, and people love Storm. So, I would absolutely, you know, if we could find a version that would make sense, or a storyline that would make sense, I would absolutely do that, for sure.”

This isn't too surprising, as Berry has previously expressed a desire to continue on as Storm after X-Men: Days of Future Past. She said he'd be up for doing a Storm solo movie, and said that fans would need to campaign for it if it was going to happen. As the actress told Deadline in 2015, it just needs to happen before she turns 65 years old, which means we have a solid ten years to get her back in the role before it's too late.

"In a heartbeat. In a heartbeat I would do a Storm movie. I love that character through and through. So if that ever became an opportunity for me if it's before I'm 65-years old I would absolutely do that. I think they should do it. If the fans want that the fans need to speak up and I'm sure it would be a possibility. If Fox felt like they could make money off of a Storm movie I'm sure they would do it."

It's hard to say if we will ever see Halle Berry as Storm again, but she's staying busy regardless. She recently presented her directorial debut, Bruised, on Netflix, an MMA-based drama which also stars Berry in the lead role. There has even been some Oscar buzz related to Berry's work on the movie, causing Netflix to sign her on to make more features for the streamer. This news comes to us from Vanity Fair.
