Next summer, X-Men: Apocalypse will introduce a newer, younger Storm in a storyline that takes place in the 80s. But just because Alexandra Shipp is taking over the role doesn't mean Halle Berry is done with the weather-manipulating Mutant. Like Hugh Jackman and his solo Wolverine series, Halle Berry believes Storm can exist on her own. The actress has played the character four different times over the span of the past 15 years, and would very much like to go at it again. When asked if she is ready for a standalone Storm spinoff, she tells Deadline the following.

"In a heartbeat. In a heartbeat I would do a Storm movie. I love that character through and through. So if that ever became an opportunity for me if it's before I'm 65-years old I would absolutely do that. I think they should do it. If the fans want that the fans need to speak up and I'm sure it would be a possibility. If Fox felt like they could make money off of a Storm movie I'm sure they would do it."

It doesn't seem likely that will ever happen. And if it does, it will probably star Alexandra Shipp, who might be Halle Berry's age by the time 20th Century Fox green lights such a thing. Halle Berry is heading to Comic-Con tomorrow for the CBS TV panel, where she will be promoting Extant Season 2. She is also expected to appear at Fox's July 11 panel in support of the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past: Rogue Cut, the last movie she appeared in as Storm.
