One of the hottest directors in town is turning to the world of video games. According to Variety, Zach Snyder has signed a deal with Electronic Arts to develop three original video games for the popular gaming company.

Snyder's first game was "Boom Box" for the Nintendo Wii, which was released this spring. Snyder's deal is similar to a deal that director Steven Spielberg signed with EA in 2005, which would allow for the possibility of the games turning into films, which, in Snyder's case, would be produced by Snyder's Cruel and Unusual Films production company.

"Zack Snyder has a fresh and bold creative style that resonates with our core audience," said Frank Gibeau, EA Games label president.
