In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, Zelda Rubinstein, the 4-foot-3-inch actress best known as Tangina, the psychic who tries to help a family living in a haunted house in the 1982 horror film Poltergeist, has passed away at the age of 76.

Rubinstein died Wednesday at a hospital in Los Angeles. According to her agent, Eric Stevens, she had recently suffered a heart attack.

The actress made her film debut in the 1981 comedy Under the Rainbow. She also had roles in the films Sixteen Candles, Southland Tales as well as the Poltergeist sequels.
