It doesn’t seem that long ago fans were still speculating whether Tom Holland and Zendaya were an official couple, but as Holland celebrates his 26th birthday his partner and Spider-Man co-star led the social media tributes with a sweet message on her Instagram account in which she said “Happiest of birthdays to the one who makes me the happiest.” Along with the post she shared a photo of the two of them together, and it took just 40 minutes to rack up over 5 million likes, and gained reactions from other stars such as Rachel Zegler and Ryan Reynolds.

Tom Holland has seen his status in Hollywood soar thanks to his role as Peter Parker in the MCU, which has led him into a number of other roles including that of Nathan Drake in Uncharted. It also seemed to put him in a direct relationship collision with Zendaya, who has played MJ alongside him in all three of his Spider-Man movies so far, and for years there had been rumors that the couple were dating. After finally confirming their status as a couple last year, fans have been swooning over the pair, and Holland’s birthday gives them another chance to celebrate him.

Along with the fan outpouring of love, Amazon Prime’s The Boys also offered a cheeky bit of promo for the upcoming third season of the show by sharing a tweet directed to Holland, telling him that his “present” will arrive on Friday – meaning the premier of their new episodes.

Spider-Man: No Way Home was nothing short of a phenomenon when it hit cinemas in December 2021, becoming the highest grossing Sony movie ever and claiming third spot on the chart of the top grossing movies of all time. It is therefore not a surprise that despite that film being the end of the Spider-Man trilogy that began with Spider-Man: Homecoming, a new movie is already being developed and is not looking to shake up the popular format. Last month, Sony’s Tom Rothman opened up about his hopes for a complete reunion for Spidey’s next MCU adventure. He said at the time:

“That whole group, we hope. Then there are movies I would call adjunct to the Spider-Man universe. That’s Kraven, which we’re shooting now, and Madam Web, which we’ll start in the spring with S.J. Clarkson directing. And then there are many Marvel characters that are standalone. When I took over Sony, it was said, oh, Sony has no IP. Not true. We actually had fantastic IP. We just needed to focus on it."

For now though, Holland has been cast as Fred Astaire in a biopic of the legendary actor, which will hit cinemas in 2024, and he will next appear in the Apple TV+ series The Crowded Room. With a bright future ahead, the 26-year-old has plenty to celebrate, which he will clearly be doing with his other half. Here are some more of the celebratory posts shared today.
