Variety reports that Zenescope Entertainment, Persistent Entertainment (Passengers) and Pantry Films (Felon) are coming together to produce a film adaptation of Zenescope's graphic novel The Piper.

This is going to be a cinematic version of the Pied Piper of Hamelin and it will introduce a grimmer version of the fable through the eyes of a much-tormented high school band student. He channels the spirit of the Pied Piper, then finds out the terrifying consequences of his actions are beyond his control.
