Terminal:Empire Online reports that Catherine Zeta Jones and Bernie Mac have been offered parts in the third Tom Hanks-Steven Spielberg collaboration, airport comedy Terminal. Hanks stars as a Balkan, Victor, who is left stranded in a New York City airport when a border shift caused by war leaves him without nationality and passport. Trapped in immigration limbo he stays in the terminal, befriending the airport staff, and falling for a flight attendant.
Catherine Zeta Jones is set to play the object of Victor's affection, the sexy stewardess. And, Bernie Mac has been given the opportunity flex his comedic muscle as a guy who operates a baggage carousel while up to some dodgy business on the side.
The movie is tentatively scheduled to begin production in the fall.
