Amazon Studios has decided not to move forward with Eli Craig's small screen adaptation of the apocalyptic comedy Zombieland.

The pilot for the series was released a few weeks back and was met with less than positive feedback by customers of the website. That prompted the online store to part ways with the project. The producers of the project are currently looking for another market to test the series in.

Eli Craig is best known for helming his other comedic horror project Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil. He will also be directing Universal's upcoming dark comedy Little Evil.

Kirk Ward, Tyler Ross, Maiara Walsh and Izabela Vidovic starred in the pilot. Further plot specifics for the project are being held under wraps.

Zombieland writer Rhett Reese confirmed the news via his Twitter account.

Where do you think the series will land?
