The new trailer for Paramount Pictures' Zoolander 2 has broken the record to become the most successful comedy trailer launch of all time. The trailer, which debuted online on November 18 and offers fans a sneak peek at the highly anticipated sequel to 2001's Zoolander, reached 52.2 million views in its first week of release. Paramount's comedy sequel is set for release on February 12, 2016, where it will go up against 20th Century Fox's Deadpool and Warner Bros.' How to Be Single.

The sequel centers on Derek (Ben Stiller) and Hansel (Owen Wilson), who are recruited by Montana Grosso (Penélope Cruz) to stop a deadly killer, who is targeting the most beautiful people in the world. The first trailer revealed that this assassin starts his killing spree with none other than pop star Justin Bieber, who was revealed in a set photo posted by star/director Ben Stiller back in April. Other celebrities this killer has bumped off include Usher Raymond, Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus.

Montana Grosso tasks Derek and Hansel to infiltrate the world of high fashion, which they used to know first-hand as two of the top fashion models in the world. Derek and Hansel both see this as an opportunity to get back on top of the modeling world, until this sadistic killer targets both of them as well. The trailer introduces Kristen Wiig as the new villain, who has teamed up with Will Ferrell's Mugatu from the original cult classic comedy.

The sequel also brings back Christine Taylor as Matilda Jeffries, who married Derek Zoolander at the end of 2001's Zoolander. New cast members include Cyrus Arnold, Fred Armisen, Kyle Mooney, Billy Zane, Milla Jovovich and Justin Theroux. The original Zoolander only earned just over $60 million at the worldwide box office, but it became a cult hit after its release on home video.

Ben Stiller returns to direct, working from a screenplay he co-wrote with Justin Theroux, Nick Stoller and John Hamburg. Ben Stiller, Stuart Cornfeld, Scott Rudin and Clayton Townsend are producing, with Jeff Mann executive producing.
